in recent weeks. Former Senator

was sworn in as the 14th

Administrator and joined by
AIAA Associate Fellow
Pam Melroy
as
NASA
Deputy Administrator.
Pam
is an influential leader and has been an active
AIAA
member, receiving recognition from her peers with the
AIAA Public Service Award
in 2019 for her outstanding contributions to the fields of aeronautics and astronautics.
NASA
and the aerospace community will benefit from their combined experience and extensive backgrounds championing our nation’s space and aeronautics programs. They will make a great team at this critical stage in the development of the space economy and the further exploration of the universe.
